The cross between a Roan Palomino stallion, whose coat the (Rn) gene acts on the base coat by distributing white hairs throughout the body, giving it a roan appearance. The head and legs retain the original base color tones. Golden coat with a light mane and tail, resulting from a single cream gene dilution over the chestnut base., and a Cremello mare with coat very pale cream coat, almost white, with blue eyes, caused by double dilution of the cream gene over the chestnut base., produces equal chances (25% each) for: Roan Cremello (25%), Cremello (25%), Roan Palomino (25%) and Palomino (25%). Results vary according to the genotype of each parent — use the filters above to explore specific combinations.
