The cross between a Paint Black stallion, whose coat the (To) gene acts on the base coat forming large, well-defined white patches across the body and legs. Many cases also inherit blue eyes. Entirely black coat, with no dilutions and no Agouti gene action restricting black pigment to the points., and a Cremello mare with coat very pale cream coat, almost white, with blue eyes, caused by double dilution of the cream gene over the chestnut base., can produce 6 different coat colors: Paint Buckskin (20%), Buckskin (20%), Paint Palomino (18%), Palomino (18%), Paint Smoky Black (13%) and Smoky Black (13%). Results vary according to the genotype of each parent — use the filters above to explore specific combinations.
