The cross between a Chestnut stallion, whose coat base coat with a reddish body, mane and tail, with no black pigment., and a Gray Smoky Cream mare with coat the (G) gene acts on the base coat promoting progressive lightening throughout the horse's life until reaching very pale or completely white tones. Very pale coat with yellowish highlights, resulting from double dilution of the cream gene over the black base., can produce 6 different coat colors: Gray Buckskin (20%), Buckskin (20%), Gray Palomino (18%), Palomino (18%), Gray Smoky Black (13%) and Smoky Black (13%).
