The cross between a Gray Smoky Cream stallion, whose coat the (G) gene acts on the base coat promoting progressive lightening throughout the horse's life until reaching very pale or completely white tones. Very pale coat with yellowish highlights, resulting from double dilution of the cream gene over the black base., and a Paint Black mare with coat the (To) gene acts on the base coat forming large, well-defined white patches across the body and legs. Many cases also inherit blue eyes. Entirely black coat, with no dilutions and no Agouti gene action restricting black pigment to the points., can produce 8 different coat colors: Paint Gray Smoky Black (22%), Paint Smoky Black (22%), Gray Smoky Black (22%), Smoky Black (22%), Paint Gray Palomino (3%), Paint Palomino (3%), Gray Palomino (3%) and Palomino (3%).
