The cross between a Paint Bay stallion, whose coat the (To) gene acts on the base coat forming large, well-defined white patches across the body and legs. Many cases also inherit blue eyes. Brown body with black mane, tail, lower legs and ear tips, due to the presence of black pigment restricted to the points by the Agouti gene., and a Perlino mare with coat cream coat with slightly reddish tones in the mane and tail, caused by double dilution of the cream gene over the bay base., can produce 6 different coat colors: Paint Buckskin (39%), Buckskin (39%), Paint Palomino (7%), Palomino (7%), Paint Smoky Black (4%) and Smoky Black (4%). Results vary according to the genotype of each parent — use the filters above to explore specific combinations.
